Xi’an Xianyang International Airport

Xi’an Xianyang International Airport is a world class domestic and international airport. It is the largest airport in Northwest China with three terminals. It is 41 kilometers (25 mile) northwest of Xi’an city, which is only a 30 minute taxi ride to the city centre.


Taxi stands are located in front of the international and domestic terminal gates, and the traffic is very convenient. The access fee is paid by the passenger to the taxi driver and, as with all charges, may only be applied after the passenger has entered the taxi and the meter is started. The meter will be charged automatically according to the driving time and mileage, and the charge will be charged after arriving at the destination. The cost of arriving at Xi’an from the airport is approximately 150RMB.

Airport shuttle bus

The airport shuttle service meets all flights arriving at Xi’an Xianyang International Airport seven days a week, providing shuttle services to and from the airport and downtown. Passengers can go through the transfer formalities at the station counter on the first floor of the terminal. The only customer service call is: 029-86691102. The shuttle bus fee is 30RMB.

Getting Around Xi’an

Xi’an has many areas that are easily accessible on foot and by bus. In many commercial, residential, educational zones in the city, especially in the shopping and entertainment districts around the Bell Tower, underpasses and overpasses have been built for the safety and convenience of pedestrians. Meanwhile the taxi service is very convenient, which can take passengers to anywhere they want. The venue, Wyndham Grand Xian South Hotel, is in No.208 Ci’en East Road, Qujiang New District, which is convenient for visitors with nearby access to a citywide transport network of buses, trains, and taxis.

Bus service

There are nearly 400 public bus and trolley bus lines in the city, covering almost everywhere of the downtown area. Standard bus fares are as low as 1RMB or 2RMB to the air-conditioned buses, and the bus fees are 50% off when purchased with the Chang’an Tong card.

Xi’an Metro

The subway system covers some of the most famous attractions, such as Ban po Museum (Ban po Station, Line 1), Bell and Drum Tower (Line 2), City Wall (Line 2) and Shaanxi History Museum, etc.Line 2, running through the city from north (North Railway Station) to south (Wei qu Nan). Line 3 runs from northeast (Bao shui qu) to southwest. If passengers are worried about traffic jams, they can choose the subway and buy tickets at the entrance of it.


Taxis in Xi’an are BYD Auto. For the taxi fare between 06:00 – 23:00, 9 RMB/2 kilometers (1.2 miles) for the fare fall and 2.3 RMB/Km later, and later at night it would be 10 RMB for the fare fall and 2.7RMB/Km later.
